I captured this stunning shot of the clouds while I was leaving work. The skies of Oklahoma are such a gorgeous canvas that changes daily. With some days being more beautiful than others but nonetheless, they are all breathtaking.

The March Monsoon
The saying usually goes April showers bring May flowers. However living in central Oklahoma this week, you would have to disagree with that statement. The saying should read March monsoon brings green grass, budding trees, weeds in your yard, and a gloomy spring break. Although I must say that this rain was much needed—just wish it came over a period of time in smaller amounts so the ground could soak it all up. Maybe that soil since class in undergrad paid off? Wait...what did I just say?

My Sweet Kicks
I am usually one to drool over high heels and flats by fabulous high-end designer spite my country roots. It has been a very long time since I have had a pair of cowboy boots that I was in love with. I have a couple of different pairs, some high fashion and the other western. Since I am working in the agriculture industry, it does not make any sense for me not to have a good go-to pair of cowboy boots. This past weekend I spent some time at the Oklahoma Youth Expo watching my 4-Her’s show their livestock projects. Jered and I went on a shopping mission, operation find cowboy boots—we were both in need for some new kicks.
We both found an amazing pair and the plus side—they are super comfortable. We walked around all day Sunday in them and had no complaints, just compliments. I love how we can switch over from urban to rural life in a snap. I am seriously blessed to have the best of both worlds in my life.

My March Birchbox
I have been on the wait list for a subscription to BirchBox since December. In an earlier post My Best Friend's Birchbox, I talked about how I purchased a three-month subscription for a friend for Christmas and it was a big hit. So I figured I needed in on the action! Finally, it arrived this past weekend and I could not be more excited. If you have wanted to check this out, wait no longer—go do it now! You will be so glad you did! Here is a review of what was in my March 2012 BirchBox!
1) Jourer Luminizing Moisture Tint, it is an oil-free formula that goes on silky smooth and has SPF 20. I love that it gives me a soft glow without the heavy, gummy feel that some moisture tints have.
2) Orofludio Elixir is a hair care product that gives you the three S’s: soft, shiny, and strong—something that every girl is constantly striving for. All you do is rub the serum between your fingers and run it through your hair or you could use a little on your dry hair to tame flyaways.
3) One Love Organics Skin Savior Waterless Beauty Balm is something that I was a little apprehensive of at first, if you know me—it’s no secret that I have oily skin so finding the perfect moisture has always been a struggle for me. I am not saying this is the answer to my prayers. However, it is a three-in-one make up removes, cleanser, and moisturizer and that is something to be said.
4) Tea Forte skin-smart Teas are awesome, I am such a sucker for anything that involves tea, espresso, or coffee so this was a big hit for me. Dr. Oz has called these “dessert in a mug” and I can see why. There are so many great things packed into these tea bags and I am glad I got to give them a try!
5) Color Club Neon Nail Polish in the shade of “Age of Aquarius”. I have only had this polish on for two days and I have received a million compliments—even one from the Starbucks barista this morning. I am usually a OPI brand loyal girl, but this color has opened my eyes to this brand—I might stock up on this fun color collection.
6) Annick Goutal Eau d’Hadrien this is very much a spring and summer scent. It has a refreshing note that I do really like. This is a great size that I can toss in my purse of gym bag for a quick pick me up
Overall I am very excited with my first Birchbox and I cannot wait to see what is in store for months to come. Do you want to see what all of the buzz is about? Order Birchbox for yourself!

Life in Full Bloom
We are constantly reminded how precious life is and how quickly that loved ones can leave our lives. There is one thing that we can rest assure, God has a plan and he alone can give us peace. Yesterday my family and I said goodbye to a woman who had impacted our lives in more way than one. It truly was a celebration of life. Moments like this make you take a step back and really look at life with a more simplistic approach. For the first time in a long while, I took the time to notice things for truly what they are not what I perceive them to be.
Last week was really a blur—the Pottawatomie County Jr. Livestock Show has come and gone. I think it went over really well. Both the quality of youth and livestock blew me away, I had no idea truly what kind of great things are happening right here in this county. I feel blessed to call this place home.
This is my favorite picture that was captured during the stock show. Just look at these girls patiently waiting to take their heifer into the show ring and show the judge their project.
Look how beautiful this tree is, full blooming right in my yard at home in Pawhuska.

Love Is Deeper
There comes a time in our life where we are faced with a decision: hold on or let go? By that, I am referring to the past. Things happen, we have been: wronged, hurt, betrayed, disappointed...the list goes on and on. It is up to us, to decide when to let it go. Nothing good comes from hanging on to these feelings of resentment. Stop waiting for an apology (because it might never happen) and make it okay with yourself. Give yourself permission to move on with you life and put whatever it is behind you and don't look back.
I am completely 100% done with my hurt feelings in the past. You know what, it feels pretty darn good not to be consumed with it.

Friday Five Things: J. Crew Sundress
Since it has been so beautiful outside the past couple of days, today is all about spring. By spring I mean sun dresses from J. Crew. These are a few that I am obsessing over right this very moment.
Starting with this casual dress, because all that is on my mind: the weekend! I want something that is effortless but still had that flair to it. This dress is just what the doctor ordered!
Two things I love about this, first of all the color is absolutely stunning. Second, belts are my solution for everything—just belt it. You could do some fun color block things with the belt, accessories, and shoes.
Polka dots are fun and feminine, in my opinion. On top of that, the deep v neck detail and the bow sash tie just send it over the top. It doesn’t get much better than this.
Eyelet is something that is very flirty and fresh, this screams Easter dress to me for some reason. I know that is a little nontraditional for the Easter color pallet, but I love the way it looks.
I’ll leave you with this, for all of my working girls in the business world. You can add color to your office wear with this stunning dress. I love everything about it, the neckline is so festive but it still has that “I am a professional” feel to it. If no one has told you happy Friday, let me be the first! Another thing, you are special—keep your head up gorgeous!
