This spring I made a serious commitment to Sassy Southern Lindsey. I truly wanted my blog to grow and flourish, and I knew that would take hard work and dedication. I also realized that I couldn't do this alone. One of the things you might have noticed is my photo quality improved almost overnight. That is thanks to Melanie Foster who owns and operates Melanie Foster Photography based out of Norman, Oklahoma. She is seriously a doll! If you are looking or thinking about booking senior photos, engagement or a wedding photographer, you need to consider working with her. I have also enlisted the help of one of my best friends, Sara! Sara is the official editor around here. She keeps me in line and from helps me not make a fool out of myself! Jered has also been a huge help, he has been supportive of my little passion project. All of that to say, we all need to surround ourselves with people who encourage us, lift us up and celebrate with us when the time calls for it.

This week I received an email that I have been dreaming about for years. I finally got accepted into the Reward Style program! This was my number one goal for blogging in 2017. I cannot believe it! I know that I couldn't have done it without you, I appreciate you more than you know! I am so thankful that we are on this journey together. I look forward to what the future holds for my little slice of the interwebs. Enough talk about feelings, let's get to the good stuff.

Some fashion rules were made to be broken or bent slightly. I am carrying floral into fall, even though this print seems to be strictly for the spring and summer seasons. Until this week, Oklahoma has been a sweaty hot mess! It's so hard to think about layers and sweaters when it's still 90 degrees. Last week I shot fall looks and it was 97 degrees outside. It was less than glamorous and extremely laughable! I am looking forward to sharing those looks with you. Until then, let's talk about this gorgeous Rebecca Taylor orange floral printed wrap dress. One thing I did notice about this dress is that it runs large in the chest area, so double check your measurements before ordering.

I had so much fun while shooting this look simply due to the location, it was like a walk down memory lane for me! We shot in Midtown in Oklahoma City. A few years ago, I worked at a local agency in digital media as a travel blogger. I made friends with so many of my co-workers. Back in the day, we took turns shooting our outfit of the day photos in this same place! A few things have changed since then, we have all different jobs and Midtown has grown and developed. It is so cool to see how things change, grow and develop over time. You never know where life is going to take you.
